Not "out with the old" but definitely "in with the new"

This is my philosophy of life but also in particular, the advertising business. Yes I still call it advertising. You can call it content if you wish. But my job is still to create stuff that sells stuff. It's the channels and methods that have evolved. Not the thinking. It's true that brands can no longer just shout down from the mountain top and expect consumers to just consume. The story is now in the hands of the audience. Brands must be better listeners than ever before. I loathe the word "traditional" when it comes to advertising. We are now living in a post-digital world but creative strategy and the creative process are as important as ever.

Best definition of advertising I've ever heard:

NEWS THAT IS SO DULL, YOU HAVE TO PAY THE MEDIA TO RUN IT

One of my colleagues told me that "with PR you pray and with advertising you pay." While the definition may be about dull news, this job is anything BUT dull. Nothing excites me more than coming up with an idea and bringing it to life for the world to see. I've had the opportunity to travel the world to produce advertising. I'm proud to say that my work has been featured in Adweek, AdAge, Creativity, Graphis, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, numerous award shows and my mom's fridge. I've even made a Super Bowl commercial. I love this stuff.
